MPA 2010 Central Region Awards

Just got back from an interesting days seminar with the Master Photographers Association at Ware Priory, Abbotts Langley, and was shown some of the exquisite work of a fellow master photographer. He also lead us through the gardens creating some simple yet fantstic images with the aid of his Elinchrom lights.

It was also the annual and regional print competition and this year for the very first time we actually got around to entering some prints.

Having viewed some 200 entries and with some amazing images, the best the judges had ever seen at such an event. I was more then please to come away with some winners. Hoss and last years winner just pipped me at the post by 1 point to become regional photographer of the year again, I just wish I had entered the pets and other catagories too now. But i was happy to win the main awards in our everyday studio activity:

Wiiner in the catagory - Portraits
Winner in the catagory - Weddings
2nd place in the catagory - Weddings
Winner in - Image of the year
2nd place in the catagory - Commercial, Industrial and Advertising

So all in all not a bad first time entering, especially in lite of the exceptional work presented and some of the competition I was up against.

Watch out Hoss we will be doing this again next year....

Congratulations to Cheryl and Jon who got married at The Inn Woburn.
You were such a laugh you two and Cheryl that laugh was infectious. It was a pleasure for Debbie and I to photograph your wedding. Thank you.

Where does the time go?

You know what it's like when you have these good intentions but just never get around to it for some reason or other. Well when we started this blog we intended to post every single day information on what we have been up too.

But as usual it just hasn't happened. Not through trying I can assure you, but simply because we are just so busy working on weddings, portraits as well as our 3 new web sites due to be up and running soon.

Can't complain though it's great that we are getting so much support from all our you wonderful people. You support us and we promise to make you look even better than you already are....

Anyway enough for now, it's time we posted some of our recent so you can see what we are up to this year.

Hi to Abbie, our first member to the blog. Debbie and I look forward to covering yours and Marks wedding next year. Thanks for choosing us.

Wet Again

Yet another year of weddings is well under way and for the third year running July is proving to be a very wet one. All is not lost though with Xpressions Studio. We are used to the great British weather and come rain or shine we can produce the perfect images for your wedding.

The last few years have been hectic, Debbie and I would like to thank all our clients who have stuck with us and become friends. Without you we would not be here.

Being a photographer is a privileged job. After 21 years photographing we have never got bored of capturing those special moments in your lives.

Weddings, Birthday's, Christenings all kinds of celebrations of which we have been fortunate to be a part of. Thank you and we hope to enjoy many more years with you.
